A calibration study of oxygen and hydrogen isotopic composition from precipitation and cave dripwater was conducted in west‐central Florida at Legend Cave during 2007–2008. This study was performed to better understand how modern precipitation patterns can be discerned through examination of cave dripwater and speleothem calcite for paleoclimate reconstruction. The ‘amount effect’ was shown to be a dominant control on the oxygen isotopic composition of precipitation for the study area. A meteoric water line with a slope of 6·7 suggests evaporative effects occur either during precipitation or subsequent hydrological processes. However, δ18O values of cave dripwater averaged near the mean annual amount‐weighted average of precipitation, suggesting that the isotopic composition of dripwater tracks the long‐term average of rainfall. An observed weak seasonal influence occurred in the d‐excess values, with summer precipitation being more enriched due to increased evaporative effects. Comparison of precipitation δ18O values to synoptic weather data shows the dominant amount effect influence occurs due to strong convective storms producing highly 18O‐depleted rainfall at greater amounts during the year. Constant δ18O values of the dripwater indicate that paleoclimate reconstructions using speleothems from this area would record changes in annual to interannual shifts in precipitation amount above the cave. 采用四旋翼无人机采集特色作物山药种植区影像,针对山药种植时间和管护水平差异导致的植株生长差异化特征,通过筛选红绿比值指数(RGRI)、过绿指数(ExG)和过绿减过红指数(ExG-ExR)等颜色指数获取山药植株最优颜色指数计算方法;以高斯高通滤波(GHPF)增强和保留山药植株高频信息,抑制杂草、玉米植株的噪声;结合田间测量山药植株数据,通过人机交互解译方法对图像滤波增强后的影像进行灰度分割和提取山药植株信息。结果表明:1)样区总体提取精度为91.14%,样区A、B、C的提取精度分别为90.94%、91.96%、90.81%,精度验证完整性为93.16%;2)随着山药植株多株连体生长复杂程度的增强,过绿指数具有的土壤与植被的分离性仍优于红绿比值指数和过绿减过红指数;3)使用高斯高通滤波能够有效消除杂草、玉米植株的影响,减小山药植株多株连接生长所产生的干扰;4)高斯高通滤波卷积核大小79×79适用于不同时相和不同生长情况的山药植株影像处理,针对不同的山药植株生长情况和不同时相的可见光影像,需调整灰度分割的阈值参数t,单株山药植株面积S由田间测量确定。该方法以快速灵活、低成本的方式识别和计算不同生长状态的山药植株数目,适用于喀斯特山区的精准农业监测研究和现代农业生产活动。 相似文献

Responses of water yield and dissolved inorganic carbon export to forest recovery in the Houzhai karst basin,southwest China 下载免费PDF全文
Karst terrain (carbonate rocks) covers a vast land of 0.446 million km2 in southwest China. Water yield and carbonate rocks weathering in this region have been receiving increased attention due to a large‐scale forest recovery. Using both hydrological measurements and forest inventories from 1986 to 2007 in the Houzhai karst basin (HKB), we analyzed the responses of water yield and dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) export to forest recovery in southwest China. With implementation of both the Natural Forest Conservation Program (NFCP) and the Conversion of Farmland to Forests Program (CFFP), the fraction of forest area in HKB was increased from near zero to 18.9% during the study period, but the ratio of total water yield (surface and underground) to precipitation varied very little over the annual period, neither in wet season nor in dry season. By contrast, the concentration of DIC in water, especially in the surface water had a pronounced increase during the study period, with an increase of 0.53 and 0.25 g C m?3 yr?1 for surface water and underground water, respectively. As a result, total annual DIC export at mean annual rainfall significantly increased from the low to high forest area stage. This increase was largely driven by surface water during the wet season, presumably being related to biological activity. It was concluded that forest recovery in HKB had no significant effect on water yield, but resulted in more carbon dioxide (CO2) dissolved in karst water accompanying with carbon uptake by forests. Our results suggested that implementations of both NFCP and CFFP had no shifted water yield regimes in southwest China; instead, they might have alleviated global climate change by increasing carbon uptake through combined biological processes and carbonate rocks weathering. 喀斯特关键带是碳循环在岩石圈、大气圈、水圈和生物圈的主要综合作用区域,各层相互作用形成不同的反应体系,其中,CO2扮演了十分重要的作用。通过对双河洞洞穴上覆土壤及洞穴水及空气CO2浓度的监测,采用数理统计分析方法,根据碳酸平衡系统理论对CO2的垂直向转化特征进行系统分析。结果表明:CO2的垂直向转化过程受洞穴内外部气温变化、滴水pH及脱气沉积过程的影响,其供给来源、离子饱和状况在雨季和旱季存在明显差异;雨季时,大气降水在土壤中下渗速度较快,构成一个相对稳定的封闭环境,土壤、表层喀斯特带对渗透水CO2补充作用较弱,渗透水中CO2分压(即PCO2)变化范围在0.035~0.126 vol%,洞内水—气CO2分压(△lg PCO2 > 0),洞穴水具有溶蚀性,此时表层喀斯特带下部中的CO2应为洞穴水CO2的主要来源;旱季时,由于降水量较小,渗透水有充分时间接受土壤与表层喀斯特带CO2补充,构成开放系统,渗透水变化范围为0.038 vol%~0.095 vol%,更有利于发生先期沉积过程(PCP),此时洞内空气PCO2小于洞穴水(△lg PCO2 < 0),促使滴水在洞内再次发生沉积、形成沉积物,此时土壤和表层喀斯特带均为洞穴水CO2的主要来源。 相似文献

Tropical landscapes evolve at a rapid rate, creating stepped alluvial terraces, dense basin and cone topographies and multilevel cave systems. An understanding of the rate of landscape evolution is crucial for understanding how landscapes respond to tectonic instability and for reconstructing landscapes that have changed over archaeological timescales. The rate of landscape incision as a proxy for karst landscape evolution in Indonesia, a key region in the path of human dispersal, has been established using the rate of karstification – by estimating a chronology for stages of cave development using thermal ionisation mass spectrometry U‐series dating on flowstones, and the rate of downcutting – by establishing a chronology for a series of alluvial terraces using red thermoluminescence dating. Using these techniques we have determined that the estimated rate of karstification (113 ± 26 mm ka?1) is slower than the average rate of downcutting (305 ± 24 mm ka?1), and the combined rate of landscape incision (217 ± 18 mm ka?1) is slower than the known rate of tectonic uplift for this region derived from raised coral terraces (450 ± 50 mm ka?1). This suggests that rivers are quicker to respond to tectonic instability, but both cave and river systems display a slower rate of incision and karstification than uplift. Correlations between these components of the landscape system reveal a strong, interacting relationship where defined phases of uplift are reflected in the pattern of karstification and cycles of downcutting. Five years of hydrogeological monitoring and field activities performed in the complex hydrogeological system of the Acque Albule basin (AAB) were conducted to define the hydrogeological setting, the relationship between deep and shallow aquifers and a conceptual groundwater flow model of this exploited area using conventional quantitative techniques. The basin, which is located close to Rome (Italy) on the west side of the Apennine chain and just north of the Colli Albani volcano, subsided after development of a north–south fault system (about 115 000 y bp). The AAB experiences intense hydrothermal activity, which has produced a large travertine deposit (80‐m thick). The travertine deposit constitutes a fractured aquifer that is the final destination of more than 5 m3 s‐1 of water and is strongly dewatered by quarry activities. The complex hydrogeology of this basin was investigated, revealing two main hydraulically connected aquifers, one thermalised and partly confined into the limestone bedrock and one unconfined in the travertine. The two aquifers are separated by a non‐continuous clayey aquiclude. The hydrogeological survey and geological characterisation contributed to the development of the groundwater flow conceptual model. Based on the groundwater development process, and regional economic and social developing history, we divided the spring hydrological process of the Liulin Springs Basin into two periods: pre‐1973 and post‐1974. In the first period (i.e. 1957–1973), the spring discharge was affected by climate variation alone, and in the second period (i.e. 1974–2009), the spring discharge charge was influenced by both climate variation and human activities. A piecewise analysis strategy was used to differentiate the contribution of anthropogenic activities from climate variation on karst spring discharge depletion in the second period. Then, the ARIMAX model was applied to spring flow time series of the first period to develop a model for the effects of climate variation only. Using this model, we estimated the spring discharge in the second period solely under the influence of climate variation. Based on the water budget, we subtracted observed spring discharge from the estimated spring discharge and acquired the contribution of human activities on spring discharge depletion for the second period. The results of the analysis indicated that the contribution of climate variation to the spring discharge depletion is?0.20 m3/s from 1970s to 2000s. The contribution of anthropogenic activities to the spring flow depletion was ?2.56 m3/s in 2000s, which was about 13 times more than that of climate variation. Our analysis further indicates that groundwater exploitation only accounts for 29% of the spring flow depletion due to the effects of human activities. The remaining 71% of the depletion is likely to be caused by other human activities, including dam building, dewatering during coal mining, and deforestation. A structure model was used to analyse solute‐transport parameter estimates based on tracer breakthrough curves. In the model system, groundwater flow is envisioned to be organised in a complex conduit network providing a variety of short circuits with relative small carrying capacities along different erosion levels. The discharge through the fully filled conduits is limited owing to void geometries and turbulent flow; thus, a hierarchic overflow system evolves where conduits are (re‐)activated or dried up depending on the flow condition. Exemplified on the Lurbach–Tanneben karst aquifer, the applicability of the model approach was tested. Information derived from multi‐tracer experiments performed at different volumetric flow rates enabled to develop a structural model of the karst network, under constraint of the geomorphological and hydrological evolution of the site. Depending on the flow rate, groundwater is divided into up to eight flow paths. The spatial hierarchy of flow paths controls the sequence of flow path activation. Conduits of the topmost level are strongly influenced by reversible alteration processes. Sedimentation or blocking causes an overflow of water to the next higher conduit. 中国近岸海区存在两种海流:沿岸流和海岸流。前者是波浪产生的,主要搬运破波带以内的沉积物。后者是中国边缘海环流系统的一部分,位于破波带外,主要搬运粉砂和黏土细粒沉积物。在一些中文文献中两者都称作"沿岸流"。这容易形成概念上的混乱和分析问题上的错误。为了避免混淆,属于边缘海环流系统一部分的"沿岸流"应该称作海岸流,对于具体的"沿岸流"如"渤莱沿岸流"可以直接称呼为渤莱海流。两种海流的方向可以相同、相反或者呈一定角度。山东北部海岸沉积物的空间分布明显地受波浪、近岸环流系统(沿岸流、裂流)及海岸流控制。 相似文献

北京大石河南岸从上游至下游依次分布鸡毛洞、银狐洞、石花洞、清风洞和孔水洞,由一条地下暗河将其连为一体,称为石花洞系。石花洞系为多层溶洞,可分为上下8层,即洞外山顶穿洞(唐县期)和洞穴上下7层。多层溶洞的每一层形成于岩溶水的水平流动带,新近纪以来,随着北京西山间歇性隆升,形成上下不同海拔高度的8层溶洞,可以和北京西山永定河的8级阶地对比,也可以和G.B.Barbour划分的8次华北地文期对比。石花洞的8层溶洞显示北京西山的8次抬升。 相似文献
